Expat Orientation Package
The EOP gives you a plan for success. This success will extend far beyond your expat experience.
Some people are experienced travelers and others have never left their neighborhood. In either case, living in a different country is sure to be an entirely different challenge from what you have experienced up to now.
01
Expat Orientation Workbook
The first thing we provide you with is an e-book which will change your frame of mind, entirely. It is written by our dear friend, Carole Hallet Mobbs. This literature you will receive, will give you an idea of what to expect when you leave your comfort zone and move to a different country.
02
NLP
We want travelers and expats to have a basic grasp of a truly life-altering science called Neuro-Linguistic Programming. This introductory course is taught by the Mike Mandel Hypnosis academy. It teaches methods for training the human mind to develop habits that are essential for success, among many other useful things.
03
Self-authoring
We want everyone that we place abroad to do self-authoring. This basically means to write the next part of your story as you want it to happen. This tool will help you to illustrate, in vivid detail, what the next segment of your life and beyond that, is going to look like.
04
Chinese language
Competence in a local language is imperative for living abroad. It is utterly necessary for anyone who chooses to stay in a foreign country, past the first few years. It can mean the difference between a life that is empty and a life that is enriched. Charon Expat Services provides a month-long course in elementary-level Chinese language and Taiwan culture.
What's It Like Teaching in Taiwan?
When we think of teaching abroad, the hot spots that come to mind are Japan or South Korea or maybe even China. Taiwan, this small jewel in Asia, is often overlooked as an exciting and enriching place to live and work.
